Agar Agar Powder
Agar Agar powder is a natural vegetable gelatinous counterpart derived from seaweed. When prepared it forms a semi-translucent gel that can be used for cooking and baking. It also makes an excellent medium for culturing mycelium in mycology. Our LME blend includes light malt extract that provides nutrients for the culture.
We recommend 50g of Agar mixed with 1000ml cold water. Stir and bring to a boil. Once it has boiled, stir again and pour into your sterile petri dish in a sterile environment (use of a laminar flow hood is highly recommended).
